Deputy General Manager, Facilities Management

Responsibilities:
 
  • Provide support to General Manager, Facilities Management in leading and supervising Facility Management Team to render professional engineering support for ensuring all buildings and technical facilities of AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) are in their best operating condition and at a high degree of quality, reliability and cost-effectiveness and meet all relevant legislation and regulations
  • Assist in planning and devising strategies, works plans and processes to upkeep, maintain, replace and upgrade buildings and technical facilities of AWE in a timely and cost effective manner without compromising AWE’s event and venue operation
  • Explore, recommend and implement new initiatives for enhancing the performance of all building systems and facilities, as well as event systems and equipment towards smart and green with reference to the latest technologies, energy efficiency best practices and emerging sustainability trends
  • Monitor the service performance of the provision of event facilities and services to event organizers and identify ways to enhance the service provision in terms of capability, quality, logistics and timeliness. Benchmark the market to incorporate the latest best practice to provide the best and professional support to event organizers
  • Assist in formulating contracting and tendering strategy on outsourcing respective building management services and event technical support services.  Devise KPI and guidelines in assuring the delivery of quality performance from outsourcing contractors
  • Establish and enforce policies, procedures, rules, regulations, manuals and guidelines to govern and guide the Facility Management Team as well as the outsourcing contractors to observe and follow for  delivery of safe and professional facilities maintenance and event technical support works
  • Assist in identifying training needs of the department to enhance team skills and knowledge in facilities management, smart technologies, and sustainability practices
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required to support the overall facilities management function
 
Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field (Preferable in Mechanical & Electrical Installation)
  • At least 12 years of experience in facilities management, building services, or a related industry with 5 years in managerial level
  • Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in smart building technologies, energy efficiency, and sustainable best practices
  • Proficient in interpreting and applying relevant building codes, environmental regulations, and industry standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Passionate about sustainability and driving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives
