With 5 months to go, construction work of AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong’s newest and largest exhibition and event venue at Hong Kong International Airport, is on track for completion this December.
The photos below show the remarkable story of how this HK$2.35 billion (US$300 million) project has risen from ground to become a marvel of modern design offering over 70,000 square metres of rentable space, including 10 column-free, ground level halls. This state-of-the-art facility is also the world's only exhibition and event venue that is fully integrated with an international airport and an in-venue Mass Transit Railway (MTR) station.
“To offer excellence in service delivery and innovation, we have formulated strategic partnerships with various industry leaders including the MTR Corporation in the provision of speedy access from our in-venue station to the rest of Hong Kong through the Airport Express and MTR network, with PCCW, the largest communications provider in Hong Kong, to provide next-generation Information Technology and Telecommunications (IT&T) services, with Compass Group PLC, our catering partner and also the world's leading foodservice and hospitality company, to provide an array of catering services, and with Worldwide Flight Services as our partner to provide unique concierge services for our visitors upon their arrival at the airport. We welcome you to visit AsiaWorld-Expo and look forward to seeing you at this new exciting facility in Hong Kong", said Nicolas Borit, Chief Executive Officer of AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited.
