Asia's premier exhibition and events venue, AsiaWorld-Expo, is delighted to announce that the world's biggest and most important gathering of the global freight forwarding industry has chosen Hong Kong for its fifth annual exhibition and conference. The event, which brings together around 1,500 of the world's best independent logistics professionals from 130 countries, will be held at AsiaWorld-Expo from 21-24 June 2008.
The Sino-International Freight Forwarders Conference is the only event in the world specially designed to help forwarders meet, discuss and build lasting relationships. It is co-organised by the China International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFA) - China's national forwarding body under the leadership of the Ministry of Commerce of China – and WCA Family of Logistic Networks - the world's most powerful organisation for independent forwarders. The exhibition and conference focus on trade in and out of the world's most dynamic markets. The decision to host this large-scale event in Hong Kong is a significant boost to recent efforts by the Hong Kong Government to further develop Hong Kong as a leading MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) destination in the Asia-Pacific region.
Since opening in late-2005, AsiaWorld-Expo has also played a key role in developing Hong Kong's MICE industry and the related tourism sector. Its state-of-the-art facilities, easy access to the Pearl River Delta, and strategic location at Hong Kong International Airport all make it the preferred venue for an ever-wider range of events.
"We're very happy to choose AsiaWorld-Expo as the venue for our trade show and conference," remarked David Yokeum, President, WCA Family of Logistic Networks Ltd. "As the most important event of its kind in the world, we naturally demand the highest standards of facilities and support. We have found this in AsiaWorld-Expo, with the added advantage of easy accessibility for our many delegates who will be flying in from all corners of the world."
"The successful hosting of the 5th Annual Sino-International Freight Forwarders Conference is powerful confirmation that Hong Kong has what it takes to be the region's pre-eminent MICE destination," said Monique Yeung, Head of Business Development of AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited. "We will continue to work closely with the Hong Kong Government and the Hong Kong Tourism Board to attract more mega international exhibitions and conferences to Hong Kong. It should be remembered that events of this scale also have a direct benefit on many other aspects of the community, including tourism, retail and other services."
The 5th Annual Sino-International Freight Forwarders Conference will feature a trade exhibition of industry products and services. For more details of this landmark event, please visit the organiser's website at:
