TO CELEBRATE ITS 5TH ANNIVERSARY AND COMMEMORATE THIS IMPORTANT MILESTONE, ASIAWORLD-EXPO IS PROUDLY HOSTING A RANGE OF SPECIAL PROGRAMMES INCLUDING PUBLIC SHOWS AND ENTERTAINMENT EVENTS THAT WILL CONTINUE THROUGHOUT THIS YEAR AND INTO THE NEW YEAR. ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THIS PROGRAMME IS THE “RIVER OF WISDOM – ANIMATED VERSION OF THE RIVERSIDE SCENE AT QINGMING FESTIVAL” EXHIBITION JOINTLY PRESENTED BY THE SHANGHAI MUNICIPAL PEOPLE'S GOVERNMENT AND THE HONG KONG SPECIAL ADMINISTRATIVE REGION GOVERNMENT.
AsiaWorld-Expo is pleased to partner with the Hong Kong SAR Government to fully support the public exhibition of the famous and much-acclaimed “Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival” digital scroll from 9-29 November 2010. This unique digital scroll was previously the star exhibit of the China Pavilion at the World Expo Shanghai 2010. There has been an overwhelming public response to the arrival in Hong Kong of this national masterpiece, with a record-breaking number of admission tickets (over 760,000) being snatched up by the public in the space of just a few days. Together with over 200,000 admission tickets reserved for students and social welfare organizations, this brings the total estimated attendance to around one million.
Indeed, following the increasing number of public shows held or scheduled to be held at AsiaWorld-Expo, it is expected that the venue will welcome over 3.2 million visitors in 2010, including exhibitors, regional and international buyers, local buyers, conference delegates and members of the public.
Mr. Allen Ha, Chief Executive Officer, AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited remarked, “We are pleased and honoured that AsiaWorld-Expo is the venue partner for this landmark exhibition, which is a wonderful highlight of our 5th Anniversary celebrations. As more and more public events are hosted at AsiaWorld-Expo, the public will have yet more opportunities to visit AsiaWorld-Expo and enjoy our world-class events.”
New and enhanced transportation links make it easier and more economical to reach AsiaWorld-Expo
