The sixth edition of Eco Expo Asia – International Trade Fair on Environmental Protection opens today at AsiaWorld-Expo, with the Honourable Edward Yau, Secretary for the Environment, as the officiating guest. Eco Expo Asia, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., and co-organised by the Environment Bureau of the Hong Kong SAR Government, is a business-to-business, business-to-government and business-to-customer fair. More than 260 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions have been attracted to the fair with the opportunities promised by the massive environmental investment on mainland China as stated in the recent 12th Five-Year Plan.
Featuring a “Green Tech for a Low-carbon Economy” theme, a variety of environmental protection innovations are showcased in the fair, including Energy Efficiency & Energy; Waste Management & Recycling; Eco-friendly Product; Green Building Solution & Service; Green Transportation; and Testing, Inspection & Certification.
The four-day fair will open to the public on its last day, 29 October 2011 (10:00am – 5:00pm) and showcases the BYD e6 electric car and BYD eBus-12, and features test ride of the Tesla Roadster, a high-performance electric sports car. Seats are limited; please register at www.ecoexpoasia.com.
