The Color Run, popularly known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet and a celebration of health, happiness and color, was held at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE), Asia’s leading EXPOtainment venue, on 7 December 2014. Making its long awaited debut in Hong Kong, The Color Run featured a unique course that started and finished on the grounds of AWE, and took in the dramatic and scenic views around the Airport and North Lantau.
For the first time ever, The Color Run included a special indoor “night glow” element where part of the course wound through the massive halls and world-class facilities of AWE. With estimated 16,000 participants, it became one of the largest single day events for The Color Run in the region. In addition, this is the only one globally with a unique outdoor / indoor, daylight / night glow format, and the only such event to take place at an airport in Asia and Asia’s award winning venue, AWE.
