AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE), the world’s leading EXPOtainment venue, is committed to uphold safety practices at EXPOtainment events. During the mega mobile electronics fair currently held at the venue, AsiaWorld-Expo collaborated with the Fire Services Department yesterday for an engagement campaign, aiming at educating cross-border or overseas exhibitors to observe the local safety practices and comply with the legal standard.
Ms. Enid Low, Chief Strategy Officer of AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited said, “As a socially responsible company, AWE always put safety as the utmost importance in any circumstances, and emphasis zero tolerance of non-compliance. All event organisers and exhibitors should meet the safety standards and requirements set out by the respective authorities. This international electronics fair, the world's largest sourcing trade show of its kind, was being held at AWE for a decade. AWE will continue to work in close collaboration with organizer ensuring all safety precautions are in place.”
The Fire Services Department joined in hand with AWE yesterday in promoting the importance of safety at events to international exhibitors. Flyers to elaborate statutory safety requirements were also distributed, in which covering areas of electrical safety, fire safety and structural safety.
