Assistant Director of Business Development

Responsibilities:
 
  • VIP Suites Promotion – study the market landscape and analyse the competitive offers, develop the comprehensive packages accommodating requirement of various user portfolio.  It involves determining the pricing strategies, defining suite types ranging from event-day to multi-year leases, and designing premium hospitality options.
  • Naming Right Management - create commercial offerings for naming right of applicable arenas and halls, identify potential corporate partners and design for the bidding process of the naming right. This role requires close collaboration with legal and marketing teams to maintain compliance and brand alignment, involving the analysis of comparable venue deals and the structuring of long-term contracts typically spanning over 10 to 20 years
  • Advertising Initiatives - oversee the development and implementation of AWE's advertising strategies. This involves managing advertising packages, optimizing sellable inventories, supervising individual order placement process, as well as collaborating with event management teams to ensure smooth execution of the advertising campaigns.
  • Relationship management is essential, requiring the ability to build and maintain strong connections with key stakeholders, including clients, sponsors, and partners e.g. hotels, transportations, attractions, etc.. As the primary point of contact for partnership agreements and activities, the role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to ensure client satisfaction.
 
Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing disciplines with demonstrated academic excellence; MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive sales and marketing experience, partnership management, preferably in the MICE and live entertainment sectors.
  • Proven track record in premium sales, sponsorship, or corporate partnership.
  • Strong understanding and drive for VIP service excellence.
  • Authentic leadership with self-motivation, determined and capable in delivering the company and departmental KPIs.
  • An effective communicator who is capable in driving service delivery by multiple functional teams.
  • Innovative in problem solving, solution design.  Able to master the innovation process to ensure cross enterprise collaboration.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua a plus.
