Senior Event Planning & Management Manager

Responsibilities:
 
  • Manage and lead complex, high risk, mass crowd and/or political events
  • Initiate, lead, plan, organize and implement the events assigned. Ensure timely planning, preparation, and implementation of events within given schedule and resources as well as acting as the project leader to ensure high quality and flawless execution of events
  • Negotiate with organiser for more sales opportunities
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to get operational insights and ensure strong support for the events in terms of safety, logistic & technical support, housekeeping, F&B and customer services, etc.
  • On-site in-charge to monitor and oversee the whole implementation of the event to ensure event is delivered in a smooth and high-quality manner. To coordinate with respective internal departments to make changes and adjustments based on site conditions and requests raised by the organiser. Monitor and supervise event setup and ensure the setup is in accordance with the event plans. Collaborate with operational teams and technical teams to identify any potential problems and provide solutions
  • Maintain good relationship with organizers and provide professional advice to enquires from analyze all requirements and develop effective plan to execution until achieve quality deliverables
  • Prepare pre and post event reports and maintain event documents with proper record for future reference.
  • Perform any ad-hoc assignment as required
 
Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Hospitality Management, Event Management, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 10 - 12 years of relevant experience in sizeable companies with 6 years hands on experience
  • A team player with excellent leadership skills, interpersonal and communication skills; good logical thinking, strong problem-solving and negotiations skills
  • Well-organized, detail-minded, muti-tasking, flexible, work independently and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadline
  • Capable to handle ad-hoc and/or multiple projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese word processing
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Chinese, and Mandarin is a plus
