Hong Kong's newest venue, AsiaWorld-Expo will be showcasing its wide range of exhibition and event facilities at International Confex (Stand No. Y772) held at Earls Court 1, London, United Kingdom from 24 to 26 February 2004.
It marks the first appearance of AsiaWorld-Expo in International Confex, Europe's leading annual forum for the conference, events and corporate hospitality industries. During the 3-day event, AsiaWorld-Expo 's senior representative will introduce the new world-class exhibition and event venue to key industry players and decision makers around the world. According to its organiser, International Confex regularly attracts over 1,200 exhibitors and over 8,000 visitors - the highest audience of any European show in this sector.
Scheduled to open in December 2005, AsiaWorld-Expo will offer more than 70,000 square metres of rentable space, including 10 ground-level, column-free exhibition halls which provide over 66,000 square metres of exhibition hall space. Each hall is equipped with offices, meeting rooms and catering areas, as well as dedicated visitor and vehicular accesses. Acoustic retractable walls also permit unrelated exhibitions in adjacent halls.
With seated capacity for 13,500 people and 19-metre high clear headroom, AsiaWorld-Expo 's arena-style, multi-purpose hall (10,800 sq m) is perfect for hosting major international conventions and special events. The "Meeting & Conference Centre" on AsiaWorld-Expo 's second level also provides a range of meeting rooms for conference and breakout.
AsiaWorld-Expo is easily accessible from Asian and international destinations via the award-winning airport, Hong Kong International Airport. The cross-boundary ferry and bus services will also link the venue directly to China's Pearl River Delta which is known as the world's leading manufacturing centre.
If your event visitors want to take a short break from the exhibition or conference, there is a selection of brand new attractions nearby for them to choose from, including Hong Kong Disneyland, nine-hole golf course, mega shopping and entertainment complex, Tung Chung Cable Car and more. They may even want to bring their families with them and extend their stay.
AsiaWorld-Expo is a private public partnership involving funding from the Hong Kong SAR Government and private companies Dragages et Travaux Publics (HK) Ltd and Yu Ming Investments Ltd, with the Airport Authority Hong Kong contributing the land. The construction cost of the first phase development is estimated to be about HK$2.35 billion and the venue will open in December 2005.
