Asian Aerospace International Expo And Congress ‘09 ready for take-off in Hong Kong

Asian Aerospace International Expo and Congress ‘09 is ready for take-off in Hong Kong, with a record number of exhibitors and visitors preparing for a packed programme of events at AsiaWorld-Expo venue 8th-10th September. In addition to the core aerospace Exhibition and air transport Congress , Asian Aerospace ‘09 will embrace the Aircraft Interiors Asia and Air Freight Asia exhibitions, together with the Asian Business Aviation conference presented in co-operation with the Asian Business Aircraft Association, Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium and the Inside Air Finance Asia networking event.

Global aerospace leaders including Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, CFM International, Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), Embraer, Goodrich and Lufthansa Technics will be amongst 400 exhibitors welcoming 10,000 visitors to the show, with 3,000 visitors expected from mainland China. COMAC have chosen Asian Aerospace ’09 as the venue for the international exhibit debut of the new C919 airliner, China’s largest commercial airliner programme. The static display area will be packed with business aircraft from almost every major manufacturer: Airbus, Bombardier, Dassault, Embraer, Hawker Beechcraft, Gulfstream and Piaggio will be bringing a total of 16 aircraft to the show.

Reed Exhibitions has once again join forces with FlightGlobal, the world’s leading aviation publishing group, to present another outstanding air transport Congress. Key speakers will include Tony Tyler, CEO of Cathay Pacific and Chairman of the Board of Governors of IATA; Andrew Herdman, Director General of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines and the leaders of China’s rapidly developing air transport industry. More than 400 delegates will enjoy a three day programme that will examine Air Transport Trends, Future Engine & Green Technologies and Outlook for Infrastructure.

“With Asia’s economies dramatically rebounding from the effects of the global recession, the region is very firmly back on track to play a highly influential role in the development of the global air transport industry. Visionary commercial aviation companies that have chosen to attend Asian Aerospace ‘09 are positioning themselves for long term growth, with dynamic Asian markets including China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Vietnam offering them the most exciting opportunities in the world.” said Richard Thiele, Global Head of Sales for Reed Exhibitions’ Aerospace and Aviation Group. “Hong Kong, at the very heart of Asia and as part of China, is without doubt, the right place to hold Asian Aerospace, since it uniquely attracts the right people from east & west and offers them the right value with its three day programme of business-to-business only activity .”

The Asian Aerospace International Expo and Congress is confirmed to return to Hong Kong for the 2011 event, following an agreement signed between Reed Exhibitions and AsiaWorld-Expo in May 2009.
