AsiaWorld-Expo is honoured to announce the return of the Sino-International Freight Forwarders Conference on 11 – 14 June 2009 for its sixth annual event. This is the second consecutive year that AsiaWorld-Expo has hosted the conference and exhibition, which is the biggest event of its kind in the world. Featuring a high-level conference, trade show, one-on-one meetings, cocktail receptions and a gala dinner, the event will bring together around 1,000 of the world’s best independent logistics professionals from 140 countries around the globe.
The Sino-International Freight Forwarders Conference is the only event in the world specially designed to help forwarders meet, discuss and build lasting relationships. It is co-organised by the China International Freight Forwarders Association (CIFA) – China’s national forwarding body under the leadership of the Ministry of Commerce of China – and WCA Family of Logistic Networks – the world’s most powerful organisation for independent forwarders.
“The return of the Sino-International Freight Forwarders Conference is another milestone for AsiaWorld-Expo,” remarked Mr Allen Ha, Chief Executive Officer, AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited. “It’s a huge vote of confidence in our expertise and state-of-the-art facilities, and a powerful reminder that Hong Kong is one of the world’s foremost MICE destinations.”
Offering a strategic location immediately adjacent to the award-winning Hong Kong International Airport, AsiaWorld-Expo is ideally suited to international MICE events. For organisers, the venue provides unparalleled facilities and infrastructure, complemented with a team of professional staff and a customer-oriented service culture that takes the hassle out of organising even complex, large-scale events. Surrounded by many of Lantau’s leading leisure and entertainment attractions, including Hong Kong Disneyland, SkyPlaza, SkyCity Nine Eagles Golf Course, Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car to the Big Buddha, Citygate Outlets and many others, AsiaWorld-Expo offers international delegates unique opportunities for sightseeing and relaxation, as well as easy access to a number of hotels specifically geared to the needs of international business travellers.
“Following the monumental success of last year’s event, it was only natural for us to choose AsiaWorld-Expo again,” remarked Mr David Yokeum, President, WCA Family of Logistic Networks Ltd."
“Last year, working to a very tight deadline, AsiaWorld-Expo’s one-stop conference organising service was able to deliver a fantastic experience for all delegates and visitors. We look forward to working together to create yet another world-class event.”
The newly launched AsiaWorld-Summit – Hong Kong’s largest indoor conference and banqueting venue – will play a key role in this year’s event by providing a single, tailor-made space for the cocktail receptions and gala dinner, as well as the exhibition, seminars, one-on-one meetings and other activities. This will enable delegates to maximise their time and enjoy an even higher level of convenience.
Executive Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), Mr Anthony Lau said, “The HKTB is very pleased that Hong Kong is again selected as the host destination of this major industry event. With the world-class facilities and superb professional services Hong Kong offers, the city is undoubtedly an ideal MICE hub capable of handling conferences of all types and scale. The HKTB will continue to work closely with our MICE trade partners, including AsiaWorld-Expo, and is looking forward to bringing the delegates a remarkable experience in Hong Kong”
The 6th Annual Sino-International Freight Forwarders Conference will feature a trade exhibition of industry products and services. For more details of this landmark event, please visit the organiser’s website at:
