ASIAWORLD-EXPO, ASIA’S LEADING EXHIBITION, CONVENTION AND EVENTS VENUE, WILL BE HOSTING A THRILLING LINE-UP OF WORLD-CLASS ENTERTAINMENT AND PUBLIC SHOWS IN THE MONTHS AHEAD, INCLUDING HIGH-PROFILE CONCERTS, BREATHTAKING THEATRICAL EVENTS, THRILLING SPORTS CONTESTS, AND INSPIRATIONAL PUBLIC EXHIBITIONS.
The announcement of this exceptional programme of entertainment comes hot on the heels of the landmark “River of Wisdom – Animated Version of the Riverside Scene at Qing Ming Festival” exhibition, which smashed Hong Kong’s record for ticket sales at a single event and welcomed close to one million visitors to AsiaWorld-Expo. The overwhelming success of this exhibition has firmly established AsiaWorld-Expo as a venue of unparalleled capacity, flexibility and event-management expertise.
A range of permanently enhanced transportation links – namely a direct service to AsiaWorld-Expo on all “A-route” Airport Buses, a new express bus service (X1 Route) from Tung Chung MTR Station, and special fares on the Airport Express – were also launched recently, which now put AsiaWorld-Expo within easy and affordable reach of all districts in Hong Kong.
“The new transportation links have won a thumbs up from the public and have drawn a huge number of visitors to AsiaWorld-Expo,” remarked Mr. Allen Ha, Chief Executive Officer, AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited. “Together with the nearby attractions in Tung Chung, they further complement the venue’s many strengths, enabling visitors to combine attendance at AsiaWorld-Expo with outlet shopping and other activities.”
The venue’s impeccable track-record of successful events and its enhanced accessibility have led many more event organisers to choose AsiaWorld-Expo for their public shows. In the months ahead, the venue is honoured to welcome such world-renowned performers as Eric Clapton (18 February 2011) and Taylor Swift (21 February 2011), as well as the spectacular theatrical event Walking with Dinosaurs (22 December 2010 – 2 January 2011).
A highlight of the New Year is the long-awaited return of Faye Wong, who will perform live in March 2011. This much-loved diva is sure to light up the stage, making full use of AsiaWorld-Expo’s state-of-the-art facilities to ensure a night to remember!
All this and much more, including sports contests, child-oriented public exhibitions and inspirational lifestyle events, can be enjoyed at AsiaWorld-Expo in the months ahead. For Hong Kong’s finest entertainment, it can only be AsiaWorld-Expo!
