The world’s No. 1 fine jewellery event, the September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair, kicks off at AsiaWorld-Expo today with high number of quality buyers from all over the world. Concurrently held at two world-class venues, AsiaWorld-Expo (19-23 September 2011) and Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (21-25 September 2011) under the concept of “One Fair, Two Venues”, the September Fair gathers 3,454 exhibitors from 46 countries and regions.
This year’s September Fair further expands from eight halls to nine halls (60,000 square metres) in AsiaWorld-Expo, bringing the total exhibition space of the Fair to 130,000 square metres. Together with an addition of more than 200 new exhibitors, all of which make this year’s edition the biggest in the Fair’s history.
The September Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair held under the “One Fair, Two Venues” concept has generated very favourable responses from exhibitors and buyers. This successful model is playing a critical role in making Hong Kong a world-renowned Trade Fair Capital. Looking ahead, AsiaWorld-Expo’s unique geographical location to capitalise on the rapid economic growth of China’s Pearl River Delta (PRD) region and to enjoy the dramatically enlarged catchment area of over 100 million people remains one of the world’s most important MICE platform for the continuous development of trade fairs for many years to come.
